The unique IRIS valve by Emile Egger & Cie SA uses the same principle as a camera, with a continuously variable aperture to provide precision flow control. Hysteresis free with excellent regulation characteristics, the IRIS valve's 0-100% variable aperture with enhanced segment edge design maintains a central flow axis for outstanding performance.
Non-clogging, self-cleaning and designed for continuous operation, the IRIS valve has a free passage design enabling low turbulences and a smooth flow to reduce unnecessary pressure losses. This not only provides energy cost savings and low noise emissions, but also increases performance accuracy by optimising the valve apertures.
Capacity Range: Flange sizes available from DN 25 to 600 millimetres. Maximum service pressures of 3-6 bar and temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius.
Materials: Cast iron, ductile cast iron, bronze and stainless steel.
Applications: Precision control and regulation of air flow in aeration tanks from blowers in wastewater treatment plants, sugar suspensions, sewage, sludge, paper stock, drinking water, etc. Can also be used in applications involving liquids and powders.
